Hey, I’m Imelda. And, I’m really glad you’re here.

So…this place — The Content Collateral — it started because I needed somewhere to gain clarity and to tell the truth about what it’s like to be a creative person working inside systems that don’t always feel built for us.

I’ve spent years in content marketing. Before that, it was academia. In content, it’s all about strategy decks, brand voice guides, SEO blog calendars…you know the drill. And I actually love a lot of it. I’m still working in it.

But I also know what it’s like to be buried under it. To feel like your own voice is the one thing that keeps getting cut for time.

This is my way of reclaiming that.

Here, you’ll find essays that blend subversive content strategy and heartfelt musings. (Yes, it is a play on leveraging marketing materials for Go-To-Market campaigns. The name is very much intentional 😉.)

But why not have it also be strange little wanderings through film, poetry, folklore, or anything that connects us to the primordial essence of our human existence?

Because that’s what content is ultimately: humans being human.

So, don’t be alarmed if I occasionally take you on a mythical side quest — those strange, liminal riffs that don’t quite belong anywhere else but still feel wildly fitting.

It’s not about quitting the system. It’s about staying human inside it.

So, if you’ve been craving camaraderie, resonance, or just a reason to keep your voice intact, you are more than welcome to join in.
